Look,
See,
Hear,
Listen,
Paying attention is giving to you something that expands and enhances everything,
It goes from looking, seeing, hearing, listening,
To feeling,
Encompassing,
Engaging,
Evoking,
Erupting something within,
Moment by moment, time stands still because you pay attention,
Moment by moment,
Living now,
Being present now,
Appreciating all that is now……
Paying attention to things around you helps you to become more conscious of your surroundings, it also cultivates a positive appreciation of noticing more and in turn a natural way to have gratitude for even the smallest things. Life is full of moments and each moment there should be something we are grateful for, so the more you notice or the more you pay attention the more there is to find to be more grateful for.
You pay attention to the birds singing. The sun shining and providing you with a warm sunny day. These things are not something you should expect, something I know most people don’t pay attention to the birds and I know most people expect the sun to shine yet doesn’t see the value in it, or at least be thankful for it. These are things that most people don’t even acknowledge the beauty. They take them for granted. Understand that the more you pay attention, the more you see, the more you are grateful for. It increases every part of your life, especially your happiness. Happiness is such a great flow on effect from such a simple philosophy that transcends your understanding and expectations.
Ok, I live near water and I live in an apartment adjacent to a park. This is how I see where I live. Well, the park is my backyard, five minuteI just walk out my gate into the park five-minute walk to the beach. I love it, especially in spring and summer. I love listening to the birds sing all the time and I know what birds make what noise or their sounds. We have at least 5 different types at one time and at different times it sounds like an African savanna or a forest of sorts. It’s beautiful and calming. It takes the time to learn and in time paying attention. Sometimes I hear the birds and I won’t stop looking up at the trees before I find them, especially when collecting the washing, it gives me so much joy just listening to them. Don’t you have something worth taking the time to pay attention too? Don’t you think it’s something to be grateful for?
Whenever I go swimming in the ocean I always seem to find fish swimming with me, ok around me. At first, I thought it was when swimming at my beach but it seems to be anywhere I go swimming. Lucky me!! I always pay attention to my surroundings because it’s worth it. I take the bus to work and there’s one thing I do every day is look out the window, oh boy am I lucky! My view is the ocean, it is calm and clear, it’s so beautiful, the water is so still I imagine diving into it from above. I also notice that other people on the bus don’t pay attention to the beauty that beholds them. I am so grateful to be gifted with such beauty first thing in the morning every day. It’s so worth paying attention. Do you not get more out of your day when you pay attention and notice small things, beautiful things, amazing things on the way to work. Every moment becomes your whole day. Paying attention to things you would notice most days is a reason to start paying attention to everything because you then start to appreciate everything more so, than before. That increases the smile on your face and the smile in your heart. Your appreciation and gratitude increases and so does your happiness. Don’t you think it’s worth the bother the time? We should always make time for wonderful because it can’t happen if you don’t pay attention. So start paying attention to the small things, to everything because it’s worth paying attention, I guarantee it will be worth it. It will enhance all experiences. Life is worth paying attention. Let me know what you love paying attention to, how it makes you feel and how it has changed, enhanced your life. I am interested in having a great conversation with you.
Loving life one moment at a time,
Renae xx
